Lasagna

1 | Can | Diced Tomatoes |
1 | Can | Tomato Sauce |
1 | Box | Oven Ready Lasagna Noodles |
16 | Oz | Cottage Cheese |
1/4 | Cup | Grated Parmesan |
2 | Cups | Shredded Mozzarella |
- | - | Parsley Flakes |
- | - | Dried Oregano |
- | - | Dried Basil Leaves |
- | - | Salt |
Instructions
- Dice the onion
- Cook the onion, beef, and garlic
- Drain the mixture
- Add in the sugar, diced tomatoes, and tomato sauce
- Add in parsley, basil, and salt to taste
- Boil
- Simmer uncovered until slightly thickened, around 45 minutes
- In a separate bowl, mix the cottage cheese, parmesan, parsley, and oregano
- In a large pan, layer the Lasagna:
- Spread one cup of the meat sauce in the bottom of the pan
- Cover with the lasagna noodles
- Spread one cup of the cheese mixture with one cup of the meat mixture and cup of mozzarella
- Cover with the lasagna noodles
- Spread the remainder of the cheese mixture, one cup of the meat mixture, and cup of mozzarella
- Cover with the lasagna noodles
- Spread with the remainder of the meat mixture and some mozzarella and parmesan
- Cover with the lasagna noodles
- Sprinkle some mozzarella and parmesan on top
- Bake at for 45 minutes
